Scouts (10.5-14)

Scouts: (10 1⁄2 to 14), The Scouts follow a more ambitious programme than Cubs that includes a lot of fun as well as new skills and experiences. The programme areas include Outdoors and Adventure, Community, Fit for Life and Creative Expression. In Scouts, young people lead more of the activities themselves. By the time they are 13 they are leading a patrol of 4-8 other scouts in hiking, camping, pioneering, survival exercises and supporting the local community. They learn leadership and team work, social and presentational skills as well as traditional practical skills.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
