Explorer Scouts (Silver Stags)

Explorer Scouts: (14 to 18) Explorers are the most advanced section of the scouts. They are encouraged to lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of the Unit, with support and guidance from leaders. By 18 years old a Headley Explorer scout can, among other things:

Plan and conduct independent expeditions, Keep themselves safe in difficult conditions, Find their way in any weather, day or night, Make fire under any conditions, Cook outdoors with any or no equipment, Build a camp in any conditions, winter or summer, Use knives, axes, saws and bushcraft tools safely and effectively.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
